Providing support at all stages of life's journey

Life’s everyday challenges do not have to be faced alone. Harmony Counselling helps people cope with:

  • mental health issues
  • young people’s issues (growing up)
  • pregnancy choices
  • parenting
  • bereavement and loss

I can provide the support and understanding you are seeking through those difficult periods that can occur in life. I have a counselling room in central Basingstoke, providing a confidential and safe environment.

Harmony sees people from aged 11 upwards.  There is no upper limit.  My eldest client was 84 and I was visiting him at home for bereavement counselling.  Home visits possible where appropriate. I work on a one-to-one basis and aim to help you explore your feelings at a deep and personal level. My aim is to help clients explore what can be difficult and painful issues, providing support every step of the way, should you chose counselling as part of your recovery process. I understand the importance of simply listening to people who feel that no-one else is listening or understands their individual needs.

I am experienced in working with anxiety and stress, depression, dementia, Alzheimer’s self-harm, bullying, lack of confidence, domestic or sexual abuse, death of loved one, progressive diseases or conditions, facing end of life situations, post-natal depression, pregnancy choices, baby loss, miscarriage, bereavement, dementia, depression, anxiety and low self-esteem as well as a wide variety of other issues.

25 years’ experience working with young people

I have worked with young people for over 25 years, often in some of the UK’s most deprived areas – as a result I have broad experience of some of the complex issues that face young people today and can offer support to young people who may be struggling to cope.

End of life counselling

Working at St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke has provided me with a valuable insight into helping those who are grieving for a loved one.

Support just when you need it

By working together, we can create an environment in which you feel comfortable about talking openly about whatever you need to, as and when you feel comfortable to do so. Together we can identify the most appropriate and realistic approach that best suits your individual needs. I offer short and long-term support where appropriate.

Before making a commitment, you are invited to attend an initial appointment (up to 50 minutes), to identify the main problem or issue and provide us with an indication of the number and frequency of the sessions required.

I understand the ups and downs life can deal any of us at any time. Indeed, my own experience of life has not been without its challenges; this is what enables me to help others.

If you wish to make an initial, free no obligation consultation, need more information on the services I offer, or simply have a question, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
