A little bit about me
- Over 28 years’ experience of youth and community work in the voluntary sector
- In 2014 I was elected to the Board of Trustees of YPI (Young People’s Independent Counselling) in Basingstoke. Prior to this, I had a 2 year placement as a volunteer counsellor.
- I have worked in a youth wing at a secondary school in South London and conducted “detached youth work” in Basingstoke, as well as working on the Oakridge Young Peoples’ Project and Hampshire County Council’s Whitchurch Activities Project (street work with young people).
- My work with women suffering from postnatal depression is very important to me and I trained as a Postnatal Illness Support Group Coordinator for the Basingstoke branch of the National Childbirth Trust (and have over 10 years’ experience in this role).
I am DBS checked, hold professional indemnity insurance and am registered under the Data Protection Act as a Data Controller.
